Out of hours services (00 hours services)
As part of our commitment to offering a service which is responsive , we are now offering ’00 hours’ services. We recognise the negative impact that delayed discharge has on our potential service users’ well being. People have had delayed discharge from hospitals due to limited availability of this services. This has caused distress and anxiety and in some cases the service users have deteriorated they remain on a long waiting list for this service.
Our 00 hours Services offers specialist care to people who require visits during these hours.
Service hours are between 23:00 hours and 0600 hours . This may be to support you or your loved ones to manage continence and pressure sore issues during these hours. The visits may include
- supporting you or your loved ones to walk to the toilet and help you manage your personal hygiene issues
- supporting with personal hygiene issues in bed – (wash, dry, apply creams, change pad)
- turning and repositioning you during the night
- welfare checks
The visits may vary from 15 minutes and may take as long as an hour. As this is an out of hours services, there will always be 2 carers to support you or your loved ones.
The overall aim of this service is to ensure that you have a comfortable night and that you are able to access support when your regular care providers are not available.
