The thought of leaving home with so many valuable memories can be daunting and unsettling, especially when our clients are faced with reduced independence and the common misunderstanding that a nursing or residential home is their only realistic option to remain safe and well cared for.
With our live in care at home service, one of our qualified and highly experienced Nurses or Healthcare Assistants can move into our clients home to provide a personalised care service which helps them to remain in the comfort of their own home and surrounded by their family, friends, pets and treasured possessions.
Our live in care at home service offers our clients families and friends peace of mind, in the knowledge that their loved ones are benefiting from the support of highly skilled healthcare professionals in the comfort of their own home.
Unlike a care home where client support is delivered by different care staff, our live in care at home service provides our clients with a personal one-to-one support plan that is tailored to their specific needs. This therefore offers continuity and consistency of care. All of our live in care at home services are tailored to meet our clients’ specific requirements and can be fully adapted to accommodate their changing needs.
The Benefits of Live in Home Care
When coordinating our clients care service, we try to develop the best balance between their health, social and other needs. We match their interests and personalities with our staff and ensure that all of our live in care at home employees are adequately trained in all aspects of live in care and are fully briefed on the client’s expectations and personal preferences. We are committed to providing our clients with flexibility in the delivery of our service and encourage their involvement in simple things such as choosing meals and watching preferred television programmes, through to facilitating their participation in social and extra curricula activities.
Our live-in care service can benefit our clients and their family members in the following ways:
• Enables them to safely remain living in their own home, while leading their preferred way of life.
• In many instances it has a comparable cost advantage to many care homes
• Personalised one-to-one support which can provide greater flexibility, consistency of care and support and personalisation
• Continuity of care from carers who have been suitably trained and carefully matched with clients.
• Unlike a care home our service is available at short notice and on a short or long-term basis
• Daily care duties , such as shopping , housework, personal care and other social and spiritual needs are supported including travel requirements

For the majority of Service Users who wish to remain independent in a protective and supportive home environment, for as long as is possible, our unique approach offers the best opportunity to our clients to realise that goal.
Our live in care service is flexible and is available on a short or long-term basis. If our clients only require short term live-in care, for example if their regular live in Carer is taking some respite, we can step in to their role whilst they are away.
If our clients require care following a hospital stay, we can also liaise with the hospital and appropriate healthcare professionals to ensure that their care is scheduled to commence as soon as they are discharged from hospital.
Assessment Process and Live In Care Service Delivery
Accessing our service is very simple. When you contact us we will ask you for some basic details and we will make arrangements for a home visit by one of our senior member of staff.
During the visit you and your relatives and or your representative will be asked questions about your strengths and abilities. (What you and your support networks can do), and the service you require to achieve your desired outcomes.
Following this assessment meeting, a personalised support package will be developed with you in order to clearly set out what duties our care worker will undertake.
Your individual needs and your dependency levels will be carefully considered before a suitable Live in Carer is assigned to you.
Once a care worker is assigned and placed with you, we will maintain regular contact with both of you to ensure that all is going well.
There will be review meetings to ensure that the support package continues to meet your assessed needs and expectations and in cases of changes in circumstances, the support plan can be updated.
If you are unsure whether this service is suited to you, please contact a member of our experienced Care at Home Team who will be delighted to discuss your specific requirements and assist you in defining a service which is suitable to your needs.
